I need your help.

I'm worn out from the weekend.  Just know it involved a suicidal hog, comfy movie watching, and a dang good country concert. I'll post about it later.

First, I need your help!! I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, and I'm tired of the same old boring mess I have right now, so I need YOU to help me figure out what to do with it.

1. Go shorter with something like this? Yes, I know it's Selena Gomez, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE her hair.
2. Leave it long and get bangs like Reese?
3. Stay with my boring old mess, just trim it up?

HELP!! I'll take just about any suggestion you have. It doesn't have to be these pictures, either. I just got bored after looking for 20 seconds. Feel free to send me a link to a super cute picture, too!  Just remember, I will NEVERRRR color it again. I took the plunge and went black a couple of years ago. NOT CUTE. So, it's only a cut. : )

What was your favorite haircut?
I think all but one have been a favorite at one time. Maybe everyone didn't like it, but I did. My hair has been REALLY short, like, above my ears. The length it is now is probably then longest it has been since I was like 8.

Has the same person cut your hair for a long time?
Rita, the lady who cuts my hair now, used to cut my hair when I was younger. Now we both live in the same place again so she's back in action.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner do you use?
Right now I think I'm using TIGI, Oatmeal and honey.  It smells good but it's not my favorite.

fill.in.the.blank.friday.

Thanks Lauren @ thelittlethingswedo.
Go link up and play! : )

1. If my house was on fire and I could only grab 3 things I would grab:
  • Ellie and Salem - They are my sweet babies. Can't go without them.
  • my garmin - my first "big girl" purchase. And, when I can run again, I wont want to be without it.
  • my DVR - All of my TV shows are saved on it. Or maybe it's just because Justin Timberlakes HBO concert special is saved on it and I'm scared if I lose that I wont have anything to listen to when I clean on Sunday's, so I will be forced to live in filth.
2. A smell I really like is Cinnamon, fresh bread and a clean dog. Ok, maybe I still don't like the way a clean dog smells, but it's much better than how they smell when they aren't clean.

3. Something you might not know about me is that while I still have a "redheaded temper", it has calmed down more than you can imagine in the last 5 years. I haven't hit my sister with my "Mary Poppins Bag of Tricks" purse, drop kicked a shoe at her, or any other outrageously mean things I used to do to her, in a really long time.

4. Some of my favorite websites to putter about on are People.com, Youtube, your blogs!, facebook, and so many others. Usually it revolves around celebrity gossip. I need to get a life.

5. This weekend I will be with my bff's!! Brooke and Chelsey are coming to town to hang out with me and Sara!! We will probably eat at our favorite restaurants, play stupid games, and laugh way too much. SO EXCITED!!!!

6. Nothing makes me happier than the feeling I get when one of my kiddos at school have that "ahhh ha!" moment. Especially when they have been struggling to grasp a concept. I get SOOOO excited when they finally get it! : )

7. A bad habit I have is living out of my car. I seriously could. If I was ever stranded in the middle of no where I would have food, water, clothes, magazines, music. You name it. It's in my car. I have come to accept the fact that it's a mess. You should, too!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Three Things Thursday

1. I'm throwing a gigantic pity party for myself because I can't run. I tried to spin last night. It was a no go. I know I'm just being emotional and stupid, but I just keep thinking "If you're not working out, you're going to gain all of your weight back." I know I would have to get super out of control and eat everything under the sun, but at the rate I'm going of feeling sorry for myself -- it just might happen.
*Ok -- I just changed out of my pity party panties and I'm better now. I just have to stay out of the lounge at school today because it's Dessert Day and there is chocolate.
It's a good thing I have last lunch, because most of it is usually gone by the time I get there! : )

2. I went dancing with some of my friends last Saturday night. I hadn't been dancing in like 3 years. My 2-steppin skills were a little rusty, which doesn't say much because the skills were almost non-existant to start with.

3. After my freshman year in college, I got to go to Hawaii for EIGHT glorious days with my mom. My parents won a trip through Radio Shack and my dad is scared to fly. YAY for ME!! My sister went with her friends to Cancun after her HS graduation, but they wouldn't let me go with mine. SO, I got the golden ticket to Maui. I think I traded up, sorry D'Nae. In about 4 weeks I get to go with my mom to Vegas for 4 days. She's going for a business trip and I'm going to keep her company. How lucky am I? I can't wait to get out of town for a few days to hang out with my mom. : )
sorry mom, I forgot to edit out your rudolph nose. I promise it's not usually that red. I hope you still love me.

I had a soccer game Tuesday night, but I didn't play. I think I got benchwarmer of the game, they just forgot to give me my trophy. I sat on the bench and laughed at the people getting checked, whiffing the ball, and crossing my fingers that someone scores for the other team so I wouldn't be the only dummy that has done it. I'm such a good teammate.
Before the game, Sara hurt herself while doing her 2 practice kicks. She's a trooper and still played the game but this is what I got to look at when she was taking me home.

Hope yall have a fabulous Thursday! : )

Running & Three Tangent Tuesday.

I thought my Monday was pretty fabulous until I woke up this morning and realized that my actions on Monday might cause my Tuesday to not be so bueno.
I ran last night -- YAY! 3.25 miles then my foot started hurting so I stopped. CRAAAP. I guess I'm not the brightest crayon in the box because I decided later to go to spin. I didn't feel any pain at all during spin.

I woke up this morning feeling good about myself because I FINALLY got to run last night and got a good workout in. Then, I got out of bed. OUCHHHHH. My foot was so sore and my ankle was stiff. I have played basketball long enough to know what a sprained ankle feels like and this was nothing close. UGH. It doesn't hurt all the time but if I step just right when I'm walking OR running I get this shooting pain up my ankle and down the sides of my foot. HELP!! I'm serious going to go insane if I can't run for another 10 days. : (

Since I don't have anything exciting going on I guess I'll join in Janae's Three Tangent Tuesday.

1.  I swore I would never be one of those people who put my dogs in clothes, but I got a little bored the other day and Ellie was being SO sweet, and patient, and mellow. She loves tshirts as much as I do.
The leaning tower of Ellie? she really does love me. promise.
2.  I stayed in my way too comfortable and warm bed this morning and didn't give myself enough time to make lunch before school. On the menu at school today, Cheesy Bean Burritos. SICK. I think I will wait until I get home to have lunch. And for all of you broccoli lovers. Eat your heart out at that good looking stuff.
I'm not exactly why I have a picture of this from the last time they served CBB, but I do.
3.  Before I go to bed every night I have to make sure all of the doors are shut in my house. Closet doors, Bedroom doors, Garage doors. ALL of them. I have always been scared of the dark when I'm all by my lonesome but since my house got broken in to, I'm a little over the top about it. I guess shutting my doors makes me feel like if someone comes in my house I will hear them because they have to open a door. Makes so much sense, right?

I'm a weirdo. I know.

Do you get the "oh crap I might pee my pants if anything moves right now" feeling in the dark?

Can you please play doctor and tell me what's wrong with my foot?
-Thanks Jaime. I'm going to check those Foot Rubz out.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my blog yesterday!! You made me feel SO much better about not washing my hair everyday.

And Crystal, I don't think I can be your real life friend anymore if you only use the lake water, pool water, and sweat to "clean" your hair after Tayler's wedding this summer. I might still use you to go to swimming lessons, though. : )

Do You Shower?

Here's a rundown of my morning routine:
Shower - 15 minutes
Blow Dry - 15 minutes
Straighten Hair - 15-20 minutes
Figure out what to do with my hair - this can take forever.
Make up - 5 minutes
Throw clothes all over my room trying to find something to wear - 10 minutes
Make lunch/Breakfast - 10 minutes
Feed the dogs - 5 minutes
Listening to Kidd Kraddick and dancing around to music is spread throughout the morning.

So, of course, I have gotten lazy and I don't wash my hair every day. Does that gross you out? I usually can only make it two days before I wash it again but bathing is an rare occasion. If I don't have to wash my hair, then I don't need to wash the rest of my body, right? Kidding. I usually shower twice a day, I just might not always
My hair is THICK. It takes me forever to blow dry it, and straightening it takes forever, too. So, this is usually what happens with my hair.

Day 1:

Down and straight
Day 2:

Up and out of my face.

Day 3:

I could fry a couple of chickens in all that grease.

Or this...

Day 1:

Day 2:

I thought I was bad about it until I read this article.
This lady hasn't washed her hair in ELEVEN YEARS. Not even for her graduation or WEDDING. She talks about how greasy it was for the first MONTH then it all started changing and she thinks hair has the natural ability to clean itself. At least she branches out and rinses her hair with warm water every few months.

What do you think?

What is the longest you have gone without washing your hair?

My Coach Sucks.

I grew up playing basketball and saw way too many people pull this excuse. I think this applies to more than just basketball, though.

When he is talking about his parents and girlfriend telling him how awesome he is, all I could think about was Coach Leach, at Texas Tech, calling them their "Fat Little Girlfriends". ha.

Totally made my Friday!

fill.in.the.blank.friday.

Thanks Lauren @ thelittlethingswedo

1. My favorite quote is...

  • "Real life is a funny thing, ya know? In real life saying the right thing at the right moment is beyond crucial. So crucial, in fact, that most of us start to hesitate for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Lately, what I've begun to fear more than that is letting the moment pass without saying anything. I think you deserve to look back on your life without this chorus of resounding voices saying I could have, but it's too late now. So, there's a time for silence and a time for waiting your turn. But, if you know how you feel and you so clearly know what you need to say, you'll know it. I don't think you should wait, I think you should speak now." I know it's from Taylor Swift. I'm sorry I couldn't come up with something a little deeper. I like it though?
  • Don't let the past hold you back. Never fear your unknown future.Live for today.Laugh every chance you get. With with all your heart...like you've never been hurt.
  • It can't rain forever...that I am sure of.
2. A bad habit I have is playing with my cell phone. Even if I'm not on it, I have it in my hand spinning it around or something. I'm REALLY working on being more independent from it. Another bad habit, of course, is biting my nails. gross. And it never fails, after talking to my mom or sister on the phone I almost ALWAYS call back because there's one more thing I forgot to tell them. It drives me crazy so I know they must think I'm nuts.

3. The first time I felt like a "grown up" was when I had to start paying my own Dr. bills. UGHHHHHH. or when I got my house and car pmt. I don't want to be a "grown up" anymore.

4. Weekends are my chance to relax and get my self together for another week. I catch up on TV shows, hang out with my friends and family, and go to church. It's such a nice few days of breathing without 60 10 year olds tapping me, yelling "Ms." at me, or constantly being asked to go to the bathroom. : )

 5. When I was a child I wished my name was..I don't remember. But, probably something boy-ish. My best friends when I was younger was 4 guys. We had nerf wars, caught frogs, went fishing, and played football at the park. When we got to middle school it wasn't cool for them to hang out with girls anymore so I was forced to find new girly friends. I guess it was a good thing though. : )

6. I wish I was clever enough to find a way to get my neighbors to move the car that has been parked in front of my house for MONTHS. It has junk building up under it, it has been egged, and it caked in mud. It also still has the cables underneath it from where they towed it there. It's such a cute addition to my house. Or, clever enough to come up with a way to pay teachers more. I LOVE my job, but getting paid just a little more would be fantastic.

7. A secret I have is...still a secret. If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret anymore. : )

Happy Friday!!!

Spin sucker

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and went to SPIN tonight. Holy sweatiness. I walked out with it dripping off of me. 60 minutes of pure butt kicking, leg burning workout. I needed it after 4 days of being a couch potato. I took a before and after picture. The after was so disgusting I didn't even bother with the before. You're welcome.

I liked it. I will be going back soon, fo sho.

Let's talk American Idol.
I'm blown away every year by some of the people that try out. SERIOUSLY?
1. The Boyscout - Oh my. There aren't words.

2. The nervous burper - His big wheels needed to keep on turnin. The best part about that whole audition was when Steven Tyler said "What we have here is a failure to communicate." I laughed out loud.

3.  The Britney Spears wanna be - Disaster waiting to happen when her intro was her coming out of a Porta potty. Now everyone knows she was just doing her business right before she made her first TV appearance. I'm sure she is thanking American Idol for her 2 minutes of craptastic fame. And, I loved the she had a magazine picture of BritBrit in her back pocket. It's ok. I still carry around a picture of NSYNC and Jonathon Taylor Thomas from TeenBopin my back pocket. don't judge.

I can't wait for more to come.

A couple of months ago I told you about working on a house for Extreme Home Makeover here.
Well, the episode airs January 30th. Odds are you wont even see me, BUT it could happen. I'm wearing a blue shirt and a goofy white hard hat along with a jillion other people. It will be like trying to find Where's Waldo. good luck. I probably wont watch it until Monday because I will be at the Jason Aldean concert that night! woohoo!!

Do you watch American Idol?
- Yes. Every season since it started. We used to have a crapload of 10 foot tall Brazilians at my house all the time and they were so loud. My red headed temper flared a couple of times when I couldn't hear the TV over them.

Do you think anyone has a bigger mouth than Steven Tyler?
- I went to an Aerosmith concert like 5 years ago and Steven Tyler's mouth looks as big in person as it does on TV. Maybe even a little bigger. And I'm glad he was covering his arms last night. They are not cute.

Are you going to watch Extreme Home Makeover JUST to look for me?
- You don't have to. I will pause my TV and take a picture if they show me...then put a picture on here.

Who's Getting Married?

Me and this guy!!!!
Oh, there's no one there but me? oops.
I know, you are thinking "Danielle, you are too old to have imaginary people in your life." And you're right, so I'll spare you the details of my lame, non existent dating life.
But seriously, I have received a freakin butt-ton of Save the Dates in the mail in the last few weeks.

I know I have at least 3 more somewhere and 3 friends that haven't sent their save the dates yet.
AHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Don't get me wrong. I'm OK with being single, but EVERYONE I know seems to be getting married and having babies.  Well, everyone except me and Sara. That's why she's my BFF.
I'm SOOOO behind!
And we wonder why we're single. Ha!
I guess I had better get my dancin' shoes ready. There's a bunch of people gettin hitched.

My sister was in town last night scouting a basketball team, so she came by for a little bit. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my sister? Anyway, she reads my blog and sometimes sends me texts to tell me how goofy I am or to make fun of something I wrote about. Then, she will go on to tell me that I have some of you brainwashed in to believing that I'm somewhat funny and maybe sometimes cute. She told me she was going to start commenting on some of my posts and telling you all the truth about how evil I am, what a turd I can be, and how much she wants to be JUST LIKE ME.
Don't believe her.

It's all a lie...except the part about being like me. : )
And for the record, I think she's pretty dang funny, and cute too. Except when I try to tell her stuff and she says, "I know, Danielle. I already read about it on your blog." ughhhhh.

I didn't workout yesterday. Go ahead, let me have it. My kids were crazy at school, I didn't feel so hot, and my foot hurts.
Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Tell me how big my butt is gonna get it I keep having lazy days. PLEASE. I need some motivation right now!

I'll be back at it this afternoon. Running AND going to the gym. I have to burn off the calories from eating Taco Tuesday at Rosas last night.

I'm FINALLY getting caught up on my DVR.
Grey's...CHECK.
The Bachelor...CHECK
Millionaire Matchmaker...CHECK
Days of our Lives...CHECK
(Yes, I'm guilty of watching people come back from the dead, become possessed and marry everyone on the show.)
I watched the Life Unexpected Finale last night...LOVE.
I still haven't started the Biggest Loser yet. It kinda scares me to think I have SIX hours of it saved. I still haven't decided what kind of junk food I need to prepare for the long haul on my couch. : )

I'm so ready for One Tree Hill, Real Housewives of Orange County OR New Jersey, Real World (baahaha. lame I know.) American Idol and about 23902 other shows.

Is your mailman raining Save the Dates in your mailbox?

Does your family stalk your blog?

Are they trash talkers like mine? All in good fun, of course.

What's your favorite movie? I need more entertainment this weekend.

Movin' On Up!

I caved and joined a new gym yesterday. Helloooo Bodyworks.
I was a member of Bodyworks a couple of years ago, but changed to a gym closer to my house when I moved out of my apartment.
This gym is more expensive then my previous gym,
BUT
THE TREADMILLS DON'T SHAKE!!!!

I haven't ran on them yet, but I stared down EVERYONE that was on them.
All shapes and sizes, NO shakes.
Running fast, NO shakes.
Crawling like a turtle, NO shakes.
I'm in heaven! And yes I probably looked like that freaky gym stalker when I was staring down the treadmills.
I can already picture me being the next Jenae busting out 26.2 miles on the treadmill. Ok, maybe just a quarter of that...on a good day.
I guess paying a little more for a gym gets your nicer, newer equipment to run on. Hopefully no one thinks Godzilla is running next to them anymore. : )

For the fabulous price of $39.99 I get...

  • Jungle Quest Laser Tag Oh yeah! Can't wait to kick those little kids butts.
  • Indoor Ropes Course Pretty sure I would kill myself.
  • Indoor Turf Field
  • Kids' Club
  • Elegant Locker Rooms
  • Cardio Cinema Viewing Room Last night they were playing Avatar. I think I could get used to this!
  • Cardio Equipment With TV Viewing Screens YESSSS!
  • Selectorized Weight Equipment
  • Free Weight Equipment
  • HammerStrength Equipment
  • Full-Court Basketball I miss playing basketball. Sara said she will show me her "mad skills". Can't wait to see that.
  • Personal Training
  • Functional Training Area
  • Two Group Exercise Class Rooms SPIN!!!!!! Finally, I will be at a gym that offers something other than Zumba!
  • Birthday Party Rooms
  • Meeting Rooms
  • Corporate Team Building

This was a hard decision for me to make because the gym I have been working out at for the last year and a half was $19.99. With all of the perks at this gym (brand spankin' new, it's close to my house, new treadmills, CINEMA ROOM) I should be able to get there enough to get my $20 incentive pay from my school for working out. SWEET! So basically I would break even. AND, Bodyworks has 4 convenient locations that I can go to.
The only downfall to my new gym is that Taco Villa is in the parking lot. CRAAAAAP. I LOVE Taco Villa. I guess I'm going to have to work on my mental toughness.

Danielle "Top Scorer for the WRONG Team" Wilson FINALLY scored for the RIGHT team in soccer last night. Woohoo! The two times I scored for the wrong team was a complete accident. I think. The ball hit off of me and went in their goal. OOPS. Maybe they won't all try to boot me off the team anymore.

And my two cents on The Bachelor.
Michelle, seriously? This girl is crazy. I can't help but think she is being payed to act this way. Surely no one is that obsessed about a guy you have seen twice. Don't get me wrong, Brad without a shirt on is a nice view, but lets be serious.
I like Chontal and Shawntel, however you spell their names.
And cute little southern Ashley.
Emily's story was sooo sad. After last night I just wanted him to sweep her off her feet.
Who knows what will happen. That show is always full of drama, just how I like it.

My life is pretty boring so I live vicariously through trashy TV. Anyone else have this problem?

What shows do you watch?

Am I paying too much for a gym? I have no idea what they cost anywhere else.

Goal for tonight: Drive out of the gym parking lot without hitting up the Taco Villa  Drive through!

Move over little kids.

I have done enough complaining about the cold weather the last couple of weeks to last me a while. I guess someone else was tired of listening to me too because it was GORGEOUS Friday. By the end of the day, my kids couldn't sit still and wanted to be outside running, playing, and jumping rope.
Or maybe that was me.
Move over kids. It's Ms. Wilson's turn. : ) Yes, I'm a gigantic 10 year old at heart.
I probably wont make the Jump Rope All Stars but at least we figured out that I have a crush on a guy whose name starts with an "M".
I guess I should have stopped jumping a few letters before or after.
Let's just say I haven't had the best of luck with guys whose names start with "M". haha.
After school Crystal, Tayler and I ran 5 miles of hills. High 50's low 60's are PERFECT running weather for me!!
Mile 1: 8:46
Mile 2: 8:45
Mile 3: 8:57
Mile 4: 9:07
Mile 5: 8:38
I don't know what the deal is with Mile 3, but 4??? Really?

Saturday and Sunday flew by. I worked at Radio Shack Saturday morning then went with my parents to watch the basketball team that my sister coaches play in the championship of their tournament.
Aren't they cute?
I finished out the night with my sister and her friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. I knew most of them, but I didn't want them thinking I was a complete weirdo by taking pictures of them. I even tried to be sneaky. Not happening.
Sunday I went to church then did some things around my house that needed to be done. So fun. and stalked your blogs like crazy. I guess I should have been more productive.

I'm off today!! I have a few errands to run and a Dr. Appointment but other then that I'm going to relax and enjoy my day off. and fit in my 9 mile run somewhere. that's going to be tough. or not. It's supposed to hit 70 today!!!

Do you love 4 day work weeks ?
uhhh...YES! LOVE them. And I feel for those who don't get to lounge around all day like me!
Do you find music you like and play it obsessively?
I'm obsessed with the new Bruno Mars album, "Doo-Wops and Hooligans".
It has been on repeat for the last few days.

fill.in.the.blank.friday.

Happy Friday!!
Thanks Lauren @ thelittlethingswedo Go fill it out and link up!

1. I feel happy when I'm with my family. When I can see what I'm making an impact in my kiddos at school. When I get to come home from school on Friday, put on comfy clothes and RELAX!! When I'm out for a girls night!

2. I get silly when I haven't slept well for a few nights or I'm just really tired. I think everything is funny and giggle way too much. I talk about even more random things than usual. It's ridiculous.

3. Something that makes me sad is when people bash my kids at school. They stereo type them and say all kinds of things about them. And when I see someone in my family that is sad or hurt.

4. Something that makes me annoyed is when a kid follows me around and taps me at school. When people take up space the treadmills when they have no intention of actually getting a workout. When people drive 10 mph under the speed limit in construction and I can't get around them. I guess I get annoyed way to easily.

5. A time that I've been truly surprised was when my friends had a surprise party for me a couple of years ago. Totally surprised and SO much fun!

6. I am so thankful for my family. I have the most kind, caring, supportive, generous, loving family anyone could ask for. I'm SOOOO thankful that I have such a good relationship with them!

7. I feel loved when I am with my family or even just talking to them. Or when I'm hanging out with my friends. And, even when I'm so tired, I have had a bad day, and Ellie and Salem know not to mess with me..they just come lay in front of me by the couch and put their heads on my feet or in my lap. so sweet.

Hot Buns.

Whoever invented the seat warmer was a genius. Running from my house to my car in the cold is something I dread from the minute I wake up in the winter. All 10 steps in the 20 degrees plus a windchill of freaking cold sucked this morning. But, once I got in my car, gave it a few minutes to warm up, my buns were nice and toasty. Usually about the time that happens I'm at school and the few minutes of glorious warmth is over. If you see me sitting in my car, not doing anything except maybe singing or putting mascara on, it's not that I'm dragging my feet about going in to work, I'm just enjoying my hot butt.

Yesterdays run had disaster written on it from the beginning. It went a little like this...
  • Tried finding the new underarmour workout pants I got for Christmas. looked EVERYWHERE. never found them.
  • Settled for pink shorts and a nike running shirt. still bummed I couldn't find my pants.
  • Waited for a treadmill at the gym. dang January Joiners.
  • Battled through mile 1 and 2 like always. if I make it through those, I know my run will be ok.
  • tried listening to music. apparently Jason Derulo took over Pandora.
  • tried watching TV. volume didnt work.
  • read the same thing on the ESPN ticket over and over.
  • searched for another station on Pandora.
  • poured water all over me when I got a drink.
  • looked at my distance. 2.4 miles.
SERIOUSLY? How long is this going to take???
  • Mile 2.8 - a lady tugged on my headphones for me to take them out. She asked how much longer I was going to be on mine.I wanted to say "Umm...I don't know. Go ask someone who is casually walking, texting, and talking to their treadmill neighbor and not sweating or breathing hard at all." Instead I said, "I'll be finished in about 20 minutes." Smiled and put my headphones back in.
  • finished mile 4. Did a quick 5 minutes @ 1% incline.
  • grabbed my stuff and headed out the door with a not so nice look on my bright red face.
I think I would have just been frustrated with myself because I'm a mental nutcase on the treadmill, but when that lady tugged on my headphones I almost lost it. I hope it's much warmer outside today so I can spare everyone of my red headed temper if I have to go back there.

I wasn't really even in the mood to watch TV last night. I showered, layed on the couch, and read about 250 pages to finish the book I was reading. I didn't even read blogs last night. Most of the time the TV was off until the DUKE game came on at 8. Good thing I was already in a bad mood because Duke lost. and I was still pouting that Tech lost by THIRTY ONE points to Texas from the night before. ughhhh.

I'm coming back with a new attitude today. It's THURSDAY! Grey's and Private Practice night. Hopefully Grey's will be a little more upbeat so I don't feel the need to shed any tears. Atleast Dr. Avery, McSteamy AND McDreamy keep me entertained.

Has anyone ever asked you how much longer you are going to be on the treadmill when you are actually doing more than creeping like a turtle?
I think only one time before this, but I was doing my cool down, and she just wanted to make sure she wasn't in line behind someone who was going to take off running again for miles. Plus, she didn't tap me or yank on my headphones.

What do you think about treadmill texters/phone talkers?
I guess I'm mixed about this. If there aren't other people waiting in line for the mill, go ahead..take your time. Do whatever you want. But, if you're not serious about actually getting a workout, there are people waiting and you are there more for the people watching and socialization...GET THE HECK OUT OF MY WAY. : )

Barbecue & Roses

I know I have blogged about Baron Batch before BUT go check out his blog. He left for Haiti the morning after Texas Tech played in their New Years day bowl game and did some amazing things while he was there. In Haiti, it costs $150 a year for a kid to go to school, which unfortunately many can't afford. He takes beautiful pictures and decided to use his talent to help raise money for some of these kiddos to get their education. Go read his last post about how he is trying to help. then scroll down and look at his pictures.

********************
I don't really have anything else to say. Don't be so surprised.
Especially you, mom and dad.
I know y'all ALWAYS think I have something to say.
One of my sweet boys brought me a rose at school yesterday.
Don't worry. I took off the McDonald's BARBECUE wrapper thing off the plastic around the rose before I brought it home. And I wiped the BBQ off with a paper towel. Good thing I wasn't hungry or I probably would have licked it. sometimes I get that hungry. If you have any suggestions on what I should do with it, let me know. maybe I should start dropping hints like Janae and my kiddos will bring me candy. It's worth a shot.

What's the trick?

Soccer is back! ohh yeah! I'm going to try to make it through the season without a shin baby.

The stupid sucker really set me back on my training for my half in November. I hope no one got mad at me because I kinda frolicked around my own area. I'm scared of contact now.
Just in case you're wondering. Sara made the fashion statement of the year in her capris and shin guards. Everyone is should steal her look.
It's a good thing the boys could care less about my pictures because I NEVER seem to get them in any.

I told you yesterday I got a little in over my head with ITUNES thanks to a gift card from my parents for Christmas! Here are a few of my favorites...

1. Words I Couldn't Say - Leighton Meester
She sang this song in Country Strong. Obsessed with her. lame.

2.  Coming Home - Diddy-Dirty Money
I knew I liked this song, but I didn't know who to search for.. Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, Sean John, Diddy-Dirty Money. ahh. I'm just going to change my name to Danielle UnoDos because I want to be cool like Chad Ochocinco.

3.  Don't You Wanna Stay - Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson
LOVE this song. I don't know why I'm just now getting it. I get to see Jason in concert January 30th. WOOHOO!

4.  Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not - Thompson Square.

5.  Who's That Chick - David Guerra and Rhianna

6.  A Little Bit Stronger - Sara Evans
LOOOVE this song. It was in Country Strong, too.

7.  F'n Perfect - Pink.
Love the song. Love Pink. Want her abs.

8. Marry You - Bruno Mars
I think just about everything Bruno Mars puts out is good. Go check out his new album, Doo-Wops and Hooligans.

It's SOO cold outside and I despise the treadmill but I'm going to try my hardest to get my run in today. 4 miles. Shouldn't be too awful.

If you could change your name to anything what would it be?

What are new songs you are listening to?

7 Things about Me:

1. Cottage cheese makes me sick. I haven't ever tried it before but I'm such a texture eater. something about the wet, clumpy, slimy look to it makes me gag when I see it. yuuuuck.

2. I used to drink a butt-ton of Diet Cokes a day. I'm talking minimum 5 a day. Feb 28, 2010 I quit cold turkey. I haven't had one since!

3. The one time I got on the JumboTron at a Texas Tech basketball game I was cramming an entire nacho in my mouth. so cute.

4. I get a new planner at the beginning of every year. I use it all the time for about 4 months then I can't tell you what happens to them after that.

5. As soon as I get up in the morning I turn the radio on. LOUD. I want to be able to hear it when I'm in the shower and while I'm blow drying my hair. If it's quiet I feel like I need to go back to sleep.

6.  I haven't seen Titanic. EVER. and don't really have any intentions on watching it.

7. I watch as much or more basketball then most guys. I started playing Little Dribblers when I was 8 and played in college. Now I watch mens college basketball close toe very night! I'm pretty much obsessed.

The Weekend.

It's official. I have become addicted to Say Yes to the Dress and I Used to be Fat. I spent my Friday night watching these two shows. What a life.

Saturday morning I ran the Loop the Lake 5 mile race with Tayler and it kicked my butt. I ran a 43:27 at an 8:42 pace. PR! Ohh yeah!
Yes, I just woke up shortly before this.
And this is how we warmed up. I know you're totally jealous of my glove flying and poking me in the mouth. it takes talent.
At the start. Tayler is beside me...I just covered her up. And someones grandpa is about to pass me. guess I should speed it up.
When I first got to where the race was it chilly and windy but by the time the race started it was gorgeous and I was regretting my layers. go figure.

After the race I headed home to get ready for basketball with Tayler, Beth and our friend Crystal's little girl, Maddox. ahhh. LOVE.
I'm a Texas Tech fan. I have pretty much grown up that way. So, I support them...good or bad. Sometimes the bad is REALLLLY hard to do. We played Baylor Saturday. If you don't watch much basketball, Baylor is a a talented team and their star player, LaceDarius Dunn, can take over a game and get you in a mess in a hurry. I was a little scared going in to the game because Dunn had 40 something points a couple nights before and killed the other team from the three. We held him to TWENTY and only got beat by 16. I was afraid it was going to be worse. Does that make me a bad fan?
I took the loss hard. It took fro-yo to deal.
Sunday, after church, Sara Kristi and I headed for the matinee movie. I would much rather go early and save like 4 bucks. the movies are SO expensive!
I haven't ever been a huge Gwenyth Paltrow fan but I really liked her in this movie. Of course, I'm a Gossip Girl junky so I LOVED Leighton Meester. And, Garrett Hedlund is super cute. It wasn't quite what I thought it was going to be, but I would definitely go see it again. The music in the movie wasn't too shabby either. I came home and started looking for some of their music...and that's when I got a little carried away with ITUNES for the night. I'll save that for another post...
